This month’s staff feature is Janessa Johnson! She came to Magellan Architects in 2015 after getting her Masters in Architecture from Washington State University (Go Cougs!). Her primary interest is in residential architecture, but she enjoys expanding her horizons to experience all types of design. Some of her past projects include Eastside Harley Davidson, StorQuest Self-Storage and Marysville Senior Living. Her favorite design is Turkey Saddle by Formwork or any well designed grounded landscape architecture.

When Janessa joined the Magellan team she started at the Redmond, WA office as a graduate student intern. Almost 2 years ago she opted for the sunshine and moved to our Fountain Valley, CA office as an architectural designer where she is currently designing several self-storage projects.

In her spare time she can be found enjoying the outdoors by hiking, paddleboarding or snowboarding in the California sun!
